Symbolism

Mature Height & Spread

NASA research has found that Dracaenas are one of the most efficient indoor plants for filtering formaldehyde (which is often found in fibreboard and plywood) from the air.
Dracaena is one of the most effective houseplants in air purification. It helps remove formaldehyde, benzene, trichloroethylene, and carbon dioxide. These chemicals are linked with several health problems, including headaches, respiratory problems, anemia, marrow disease, and kidney disease among others.

Its leaves are also great at releasing moisture and trapping dust keeping nasties away from your lungs and surfaces.

In ancient times, in Africa, corn plants were a symbol of reason and good fortune.

In Tanzania, the plant is known as “masala” to the Chagga people of Tanzania, who regard it as a holy plant.
As a rule, Dracena plants make for excellent houseplants. This dwarf species is excellent for smaller flats or offices where there is not an abundance of additional space.

If you are looking for something to brighten up dreary corners of your home. Or are a busy jet setter and are not always home. This is the plant for you!
